CANDLE CARE
CANDLE CARE
We hope your Laith Candles bring you joy and create a lovely atmosphere with their delightful scents of love, creativity, and relaxation. For the best results, please follow our tips on caring for your candles:
-
Initial Lighting and Burning Instructions:
- When you first light your candle, let it burn until the wax melts across the entire surface, reaching the sides of the container. This prevents tunneling and ensures an even burn throughout the candle's life, which may take up to 4-6 hours.
- To maintain the fragrance, avoid burning your candle for more than 6 hours at a time.
- For maximum scent diffusion, burn the candle in your desired space for 60 minutes with the door closed. Opening windows and doors will disperse the scent.
- Do not burn your candle all the way down; always leave at least ½ inch of wax at the bottom.
-
Wick Maintenance:
- Trim the wick to 0.5mm before each use to promote an even burn, a steady flame, and a longer-lasting candle while minimizing soot.
- After each burn, trim the candle wick. This is crucial to prevent smoking or burning on the glass sides during the next burn. We recommend trimming it to 0.5mm each time.
- Invest in a good pair of wick trimmers for a clean cut, or you can use nail clippers as an alternative.
-
Cleaning and Troubleshooting:
- If soot accumulates inside the container, extinguish the candle, let it cool, then wipe the inside with a clean, damp cloth. Trim the wick and relight.
- Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches, and debris at all times.
- If the candle smokes, flickers, or the flame becomes too high, extinguish it. These signs indicate an improper burn. Let the candle cool, trim the wick, and check for drafts before relighting.
- To remove dust and fingerprints from a candle, gently rub the surface with a piece of nylon or a soft, slightly damp cloth.
-
Safety and Storage:
- Extinguish the candle using a snuffer or a fire-resistant candle lid to cover the flame. Avoid blowing it out.
- Store your candles in a cool, dark, and dry place. Avoid placing them where they will be exposed to direct sunlight or harsh indoor lighting.
- Keep the candle within sight and on a heat-resistant surface while burning.
- Be cautious of the glass becoming too hot to touch
