CANDLE FAQ’s
Must I trim the candle wick?
Yes, it is important you trim the wick, this is so that your candle burns with a controlled flame. The benefit of trimming your wick also means a longer-lasting candle. Please refer to our candle care page to learn more about how to get the best out of your candle.
How do you trim the wick?
We use nail clippers; they are sharp and provide a clean cut. Before alighting your candle, use a nail clipper to cut the wooden wick at all four points of the wick, then clip the middle of the wick if it remains. Please ensure you are removing all candle wick debris from the candle wax before you light the wick.
My candle flame keeps going out, is my candle faulty?
No, your candle is not faulty, you may need to relight the candle. If the flame appears small, please wait a few hours for the flame to spread and join to make a diamond-shaped flame which will provide a clean burn.
Can I reuse the candle vessel?
We highly recommend that you reuse the vessel, This is great for the environment. Wash your vessel with warm soapy water and remove all remaining candle residue before using. They make great pen holders and plant pots. The possibilities are endless. Feel free to tag us on social media with the way you have reused your glass vessel!
